Elma L. Henneberry, 94, of Belvidere, IL, passed away, Monday evening, June 27, 2016 at Maple Crest Care Centre. She was born April 9, 1922 in Joliet, IL, daughter of William H. and Alice "Charlotte" (Kinsey) Handlon. Elma married John J. Henneberry on October 12, 1940. She was a devoted member of Saint James Catholic Church. Elma was a homemaker, who enjoyed shopping, and traveling, especially going on cruises. She liked playing pinnacle and loved to fish.

Elma is loved and will be missed by her children, Sharen (Jerry) Heiting, Patricia Ives, John (Stacy) Henneberry, Jr., Marie (Jerry) Morgan; son-in-law, Barry Hunter; daughter-in-law, Marcia Henneberry; 7 grandchildren, Debbie Shawd and Scott Henneberry; John Heiting and Annette Boniface; Jessica Casey and Rachel Cadie; and Adam Hunter. 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and devoted friend, Ruby Hendrickson and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jay Henneberry; son, William T. "Bill" Henneberry, daughter, Mary Hunter; siblings, Williams Handlon and Shirley Worthington.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 1, 2016 at Saint James Catholic Church, 535 Caswell Street, Belvidere, IL 61008. Visitation will be held from 9:00-9:30 a.m., Friday, July 1, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL. Burial in Highland Garden of Memories.
