Ellie Dorothy Wilson, 94, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully August 10, 2025, in Belvidere. She was born March 8, 1931, in Milwaukee, WI, daughter to Arthur and Ellie (Leidecker) Waskow. She graduated high school and became a clerk in the administration industry and worked for Bell Telephone Company.  She married her sweetheart, Ralph Wilson on October 17, 1959, in Milwaukee. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed camping on the lake in Weyauwega, Wis. She was also an avid reader, enjoyed crossword puzzles and loved the Chicago Bears and Cubs! Ellie also loved her ice cream and was told she "never met an ice cream she didn't like."
Ellie is loved and will be missed by her friends and church community. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; parents; daughter, Karen; and son, James.
A memorial visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. before the memorial service at 11 a.m., Friday, August 22, 2025, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008.  Pastor Jim Bell will officiate. A private burial of cremated body of Ellie will be at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the First United Methodist Church in Belvidere. A special heartfelt thank you to Heartland Hospice for their exceptional care for Ellie.
