Ellen Powell- Lindstrom, 76, of Belvidere, IL, died Saturday, May 6, 2017, in Belvidere. Born July 22, 1940, in Belvidere, IL, daughter of Emil and Helen (Mitchell) Bruhn. Ellen married Donald Lindstrom on January 1, 1992, in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Belvidere. Ellen graduated from Belvidere High School in 1960. After several years working, she retired from GTE in Genoa, Sundstrand and UPS. She was also a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW in Belvidere.

Ellen loved to bake. She loved gardening, crossword puzzles, traveling and vacationing. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be missed.

Ellen is loved and missed by her son, Martin (Laura) Powell; daughters, Marla (Ed) Magoon and Margo (Michale-Fisher) Powell; eight grandchildren; two great- grandchildren; and her sister, Elsie Fairgreves. She is preceded in death by her mother and father.
