Belvidere, IllinoisElla W. Taylor, 91, of Belvidere, IL died Saturday evening, September 26, 2009 in Maple Crest Nursing Center after a lingering illness. Ella was born April 9, 1918 in Woodstock, IL the daughter of Hardy and Mina (Langenfeld) Crouch. Ella married Edward T. Taylor on May 4, 1944 in Ft. Riley, Kansas. Ella was a law stenographer and clerk before serving as the Circuit Clerk of Boone County, a post she held for 16 years. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Belvidere; a graduate of Winnebago High School and played the piano for the Silver Bells.Survivors include her children, Thomas (Sherry) Taylor, Scott (Kellie) Taylor, Deborah (David) Jole all of Belvidere; grandchildren, Erin (Spencer) Shanks, Zach and Jenna Jole, Hannah and Karlie Taylor, Amy Taylor, Tracy Taylor and Nikki (Patrick) Johnson; great-grandchildren, Cody, Hayden, Spencer, Jackson, Quinten and Jayda; sister, Audrey Smith of Durand and numerous nieces and nephews.Ella is predeceased by her parents, husband and brother, Wid and niece, Nancy Walsh.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in her name.
