Eliza J. Haywood, 65, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully Friday morning, April 22, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. Born October 26, 1950 in Forkland, AL, daughter of Herman and Essie (Rivers) Moton. Eliza married the love of her life, Clarence Haywood, on December 30, 1971. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed cooking for her family. Eliza loved tending to her gardens and flowers.

Eliza is loved and missed by her husband of 45 years, Clarence; daughters, Tamikia L. Haywood, Karice A. (Kenneth J. Jr.) Harris, Derise J. Haywood; grandchildren, Kenneth J. Harris III and Kyle A. Harris; siblings, Willie Rowe, Emerson (Linda) Moton, Al (Deb) Moton, Ruby Moton, Demous Jones Cynthia Ware, Mary McMillan, Andrew Clark; sister-in-laws, Betty Ezell, Julia Mae Waller, Mahalia (Wilbur) Paige, Lula Battles, Ada Haywood. Shirlean Moton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, William Moton, Betty Moton, and Jimmie Dee Moton.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Faith Baptist Church, 1637 7th Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Jeremy Weary. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, April 29, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Burial will be in Belvidere Cemetery.
