Elinor Monahan, 69, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully July 3, 2020, in Rockford. She was born November 26, 1950, daughter of Robert Taylor Phillips, Sr. and Mary Alice (McGinnis) Phillips. She received a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology from Illinois State University and a Registered Nursing Diploma from South Bend Memorial School of Nursing. She also received a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from Valparaiso University and earned a Master's Degree in Education from Indiana University at South Bend. She was an Instructor of Nursing for many years and taught Nursing both at the South Bend Memorial School of Nursing and at Purdue University North Central. She loved travelling, cooking and watching television especially cooking shows.

Elinor was loved and will be dearly missed by her brother, Michael (Donna K. Donato) Phillips; sister, Dorothy Jean Wiklendt; niece, Lara (Matt) Yates; nephew, Eric (Becky) Wiklendt; great niece, Keelin Wiklendt; and great nephew, Quinn Wiklendt.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Robert Taylor Phillips, Jr.
