Eleanor
Dooley
Nov 2, 1917 — Nov 12, 2012
Rockford, ILEleanor Dooley, 95, a life long resident of Rockford, died peacefully Monday morning November 12, 2012 in her home. Eleanor was born November 2, 1917 in Rockford, IL the daughter of Don and Vera Bagdon.. Prior to Eleanor's marriage to Paul Dooley, she worked for various companies in Rockford as well as serving as an election judge.. Eleanor's longest career was raising her three children and being one of the greatest grandmother's in the world. We have many precious memories of camping and trips to the apple orchard. She was there when her grand kids needed an audience or encouragement at the hockey arena. She was very determined and many times stubborn, perhaps it was her nationality. She was generous giving and always there when you needed her. Eleanor was laughing most of the time which we saved on video tapes thank goodness. She was an avid Bear's fan and her favorite pastime was "playing" at the casino. She is loved and will be missed by her children Jim Dooley of Belvidere, Glenn Dooley of Rockford, Sharon (Richard) Wolfe of Two Harbors, MN; grandchildren Jonathan (Holly) Wolfe, Jennifer (Joshua) Strong and one great-grandchild Paul Wolfe; nephew Ron (Donna) Swanstrom of Rockford.; daughter in-law Ann Dooley of Loves Park. She is predeceased by her parents, step-father John Kelley and husband Paul.
Memorials can be given in care of the family.
