Eldon D. Wigget, 63, of Rockford, IL passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 28, 2014 in his home after a sudden illness.  Eldon was born June 8, 1951 in Grand Junction, Colorado the son of Louis and Ann (Brooks) Wigget.  Eldon was employed by the State of Illinois, Department of human Services as a recovery specialist; Eldon was a patients' rights advocate.  Eldon was a devote Christian and was attending Salem Lutheran Church in Rockford.  He loved music, playing the flute and conga drums, singing karaoke and writing musical lyrics.  Eldon also enjoyed making plaques and writing poetry.  He loved his grandkids and would help anyone who was in need.

Eldon is loved and will be missed by his children, Shane L. Wigget, Jason (Rebecca) Wigget both of Belvidere; special son Trinity Critchfield of Belvidere; grandchildren, Joshua, Kayla, Kyle, Alissa, Julia, Seth, Shane and 2 great-grandkids on the way; Eldon also had 2 sisters and 4 brothers.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, November 1, 2014 in Bible Baptist Church, 5831 Tripp Road, Belvidere with a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. with Rev. Dudley Matties officiating.  Cremation rites have taken place.  Memorials in Eldon's name can be given in care of ASPCA, St. Jude's children's Hospital or the Wounded Warrior Foundation in his name.
