Elaine (Welin) Rubeck, 80, of North Port, FL and formerly of Belvidere, IL died peacefully, September 16, 2016 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness.  Elaine was born March 2, 1936 to John and Helen (McKern) Welin in Belvidere, IL. On September 3, 1954 she married the love of her life Joseph Rubeck in Belvidere, IL. Elaine was passionate about capturing family memories with all of her photo albums, crocheting, family dinners, spending time with family and loving her grandchildren. Elaine's spiritual home was First United Methodist Church in Belvidere.

Elaine is loved and will be missed by her children, Larry (Vali Jo) Rubeck of Belvidere, IL and David Rubeck of Elroy, WI; five grandchildren, Jennifer (Ben) Nash, Matthew (Brenda Lee) Rubeck, Heather Rubeck, Scott (Leslie) Rubeck and Stacey Rubeck; six great-grandchildren; sister, Louetta Hill; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joseph; and brother, Jerry Welin

Memorial services will be held, Saturday 11:00 am, October 15,2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave. Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of service.
