Elaine Holmquist, 62, of South Beloit, died March 8, 2011 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. Born October 31, 1948 in Red Bud, IL, daughter of Alfred and Olga (Koester) Stellhorn. Graduated from Auburn High School and Rock Valley College. She worked over thirty years as an X-ray/CT Technologist for Rockford Memorial and Mercy Health Systems. Elaine married Larry Holmquist on August 20, 1988 in the Church By The Side Of The Road in Rockton, IL. They are members of St. Andrew Lutheran Church, Rockton, IL.She is survived by her husband Larry, sons Curt Schelm of London, KY, Christopher (Cheryl) Schelm of Janesville, step-daughter Marci (Kevin) Hagemann of Poplar Grove and step-son Brayden Holmquist of Beloit, her special loves (grandchildren) Cory Gibbons, Nicholas Hoskins, Cameran Hackman, Rutger Hagemann, Kozmo Hagemann, Tyler Holmquist, Patrick Schelm and Stephanie Schelm, aunts and uncles Earl (Lorine) Reinhardt of Red Bud, Roy (Laverne) Falkenheim of Baldwin, IL, Paul (Karen) Stellhorn of Texas, cousins Geraldine (David) Stahre of Baldwin, IL, Gerald (Debbie) Koester of Baldwin, IL, David (Faye) Reinhardt of Red Bud, Dennis (Barb) Falkenheim of Mt. Zion, IL and Ann (Larry) Monke of Boulder, CO. Predeceased by her parents, aunts Laverne (Elroy) Koester and Luella Koester.The family would like to thank her special friends Harriet Rands, Elena Hernandez, Phyllis Borchmann and Kathy Seymour, Dr. Boswell, Dr. Korkmaz, the nurses at OSF and all her friends and family.
