Edward Arnold "Arnie" Dotzler, 77, of Belvidere IL, died peacefully surrounded by his family,  April 26, 2024, In Belvidere. He was born January 30, 1947, son to Edward and Helen (Hovey) Dotzler in Decorah, Iowa. He served in the United States Army and married his sweetheart, Sandra Bakken on June 1, 1968, at Madison Church in Iowa and worked at Chrysler for 31 years! He enjoyed farming and classic cars, collecting them throughout the years. He loved swap meets and was an avid Bears fan.

Edward is loved and will be missed by his wife, Sandra, son, Steven (Kris) Dotzler and daughter, Stephanie (John Reiser) Fowler; grandchildren, Dalton (Alex) Dotzler, Conrad (Claudia) Dotzler, Carson Dotzler, Dillon Fowler and Dustin Fowler; great-grandchildren, Bennett Dotzler and one great- granddaughter on the way; and siblings, Donna Vick, Marilyn Peterson, Charlotte (Ken) Buckingham, Gerald (Jean)  Dotzler, Rodney (Jane) Dotzler, Roger Dotzler, Larry Dotzler, Gary Dotzler, Dennis Dotzler, Sharon (Kevin) Wesselman, Karen Dotzler, Mike (Naycia) Dotzler and Michelle (Lee) Panoch.

He is preceded in death by  his parents; brothers, Donald Dotzler and Wayne Dotzler; sisters Margaret Halse and Barbara Bigler; sister in-law, Dianne Dotzler; brothers in-law, Rod Vick and Curt Peterson; and nephew, Jeremy Dotzler.

A visitation will be Friday, May 3, 2024, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. Edward's funeral will be Saturday, May 4 at 11 a.m. following a visitation at 10 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 1300 Pearl St, Belvidere, IL 61008. Pastor Elizabeth Martin will officiate.
