Edna Ella NemecEdna Ella Nemec, 90, of Belvidere, died Monday, January 29, 2007 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a short illness. She was born January 9, 1917 in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Frederick and Mary Louise (Schultz) Krause. Edna married Robert Nemec in 1961, He died in 1978. She was employed as a Magnetic Inspector for Arnold Engineering Co. of Marengo for 25 years, retiring in 1982. She was an active member of Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church. Edna enjoyed crocheting and craft works in her spare time. She is survived by her children, Joyce Aitkin-Maglio, Cape Cod, MA; Joan Marie Isaacson, Marengo; and Clarence W. Grammer, Jr. Rockton, Ill.; 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren as well as Robert's children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services 1:00 p.m., Thursday, February 1, 2007 in Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Sievert, pastor, officiating. Burial in Belvidere Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Thursday. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home 218 W. Hurlbut Av. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the church in her name.
