Edna M. Morris, 91, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Sunday morning, October 5, 2014 in Maple Crest Care Centre after a lingering illness.  Edna was born September 2, 1923 in Fairmeade, California the daughter of Emil and Lottie (Bump) Lungstrom.  Edna married Edwin Morris on March 3, 1943 in San Diego, CA.  Over the years, Edna worked for School District 100, in the cafeteria as well as being the first female bus driver for district 100, retiring in 1992.  She also worked for Union Hall INC for 16 years until they closed their doors in 1988; and then for K-Mart part-time for several years.

Edna was a member of 1st Assembly of God Church in Belvidere; 4H Leader for many years; she enjoyed bowling and loved her senior bowling league, fishing, camping, and snowmobiling.  Edna was a former election judge and was a lifelong Cub's fan.  Edna loved to bake and was well known for her delicious wedding cakes she made over the years for family and friends.

Edna is loved and will be missed by her children, Dennis (Doris) Morris of Springfield, IL, Edwin (Cyndy) Morris of Belvidere, Robert (Karen) Morris of Cherry Valley, Connie (Dan) Shiroda of Poplar Grove; son in-law, David (Barbara) Yakey of Kirkland.; brothers, Earl (Lois) Lungstrom of Cherry Valley, Merrill Lungstrom of Rockford, Melvin (Joanne) Lungstrom of Loves Park; sisters, Geraldine Detra of Loves Park, Evelyn Sanford of New Braunfels, TX; 19 Grandchildren, Darren Morris, Dedrick Morris, Dayna (Morris) Schwartz, Ryan Morris, Kyle Morris, Kristeen (Morris) Dotzler, Kari (Morris) Hernandez, Michael Shiroda, Jeremy Shiroda, Renee (Shiroda) Printz, Jeff Morris, Neil Morris, Aaron Morris, Lindsey (Morris) Powers, Jason Yakey, Jaime (Yakey) Hughes, Jennifer Yakey, Steve Norris, Heather (Norris) Miller; 34 Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

Edna is preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Edwin; daughter, Linda; brothers, Alvin and Gerald.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, October 7, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL with Rev. Dale Anderson, pastor of Belvidere Assembly of God officiating.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at the funeral home.   Burial will be in Highland Garden of Memories.  Memorials can be given in care of the family.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
