Belvidere, ILEarl O. Brockman, 85, of Belvidere, IL died Tuesday morning, May 22, 2012 in St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, IL after a short illness. Earl was born April 1, 1927 in Roxbury, WI the son of Arthur and Meta (Beuthin) Brockman. He married Darlene Larson on November 29, 1947 in Belvidere. Prior to his retirement, Earl worked for Barelt Engineering and Bob's Hardware in Sales, as well as, National Sewing Machine in Belvidere, Greenlee Brothers, and Wood & Brooks in Rockford. Earl was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII and was a faithful member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.Earl is loved and will be missed by his wife, Darlene; sons, Rick (Joyce) Brockman of Belvidere and Paul (Kathy) Brockman of Roscoe; grandchildren, Kim (Derrick) Vail, Kristi Brockman, Nick Brockman, Kerrie (Paul) Floyd, Brian (Shannon) Lee, Jennifer (Zach) Garman, Jarid Brockman; great-grandchildren, Jadyn and Jace Vail, Serenity and Shance Brockman, Justin and Madelin Lee, Ara Garman; sister in-law, Dorothy Brockman; nieces and nephews. Earl is predeceased by his parents; daughters, Norma Jean Lee and Julie Ann Brockman; brothers, Merlin, Elmer, Ralph, Gilmer and Oliver; sister Byrdell Ashley.

In lieu of flowers, Earl requested that memorials be given in care of Immanuel Lutheran Church or in care of the family.
