Douglas D. Gable, 64 of Rockford, Illinois and formerly of Cherry Valley and Belvidere, Illinois died Sunday evening May 25, 2008 in Amberwood Nursing Home, Rockford. Douglas was born on September 2, 1943 in Rockford, Illinois to Ollie Clarissa (Carson) Gable and John N. Gable. Douglas was a T.V. Repairman for most of his life. He was a member of the Cherry Valley Masonic Lodge. He collected vinyl records and was very proud of his collection.Survivors include his brothers, Charles (Eleanor) Gable, Belvidere, Illinois; and John Clark (Gayle) Gable, Salt Lake City, Utah; nephew, Steve Purcell, Wisconsin; niece, Cindy Westendorf, Peoria, Illinois.Douglas was predeceased by his parents and sister, Margaret Purcell.

A memorial in his name will be established with Heartland Hospice.
