Rockford, ILDouglas R. Brinkmeyer, 40, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully Friday, November 18, 2011 in Methodist Hospital, Rochester, MN after a courageous battle with lymphoma. Douglas was born February 12, 1971 in son of Douglas D. Brinkmeyer and Linda (Anderson) Brinkmeyer. He graduated from Belvidere high School with the class of 1989. While in high school, Doug played football. Douglas met and fell in love with Dana L. Lamb. The two were married on May 10, 2011 in Rockford. Doug was sports fanatic who appreciated the Chicago Bears, enjoyed fishing, golf and spending time with his family. Douglas was employed by Sam's Club for 22 years as the dock supervisor.Douglas is loved and will be missed by his wife, Dana; parents, Linda Brinkmeyer of Belvidere and Douglas D. Brinkmeyer of Garden Prairie; grandmother, Janice Anderson of Belvidere; sisters, Amy (Matt Driggott) Brinkmeyer of Rockford, Christine Reynolds of Rockford; brother, Jeff (Krista) Brinkmeyer of Poplar Grove; aunt and uncle, Richard and Sherry Anderson; nephews, Tyler Brinkmeyer and Keagen Reynolds; mother and father in-law, Robert and Brenda Lamb of Stillman Valley; sisters in-law, Rhonda (Mike) Gale, Ginger (Paul) Head, Gail (Eric) Seiler, nieces and nephews in-law, Angie (Cody), Jeff, Joe, Jake, Brogan and Brooklyn; grandmother in-law, Audrie Lawrence; best friends Jeff Hall, Scott Keeney, Craig Keeney, Brian Lee, Greg Baylander, Matt Driggott.Douglas is predeceased by his grandpa, Hiram Anderson; uncle, James Anderson and aunt, Judy Mapes.
