Dorothy M. Wolter (Lensing), 88, of Cherry Valley, Illinois, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 in her home. She was born, October 3, 1924, in Jackson Junction, Iowa; the daughter of Lee and Matilda Kapler. Dorothy was married to Daniel J. Lensing, May 27, 1947, he died in 1974. She later married Robert Wolter in 1987. She was employed as an assistant at Maple Crest Care Center for 20 years. She is a member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Sherry (Tom) Hayes, Rockford, IL; three sons, Wayne Lensing, Poplar Grove, IL; David (Sue) Lensing in Belvidere and Calvin Lensing, Cherry Valley, IL; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by parents, two husbands and a brother, Clarence Kapler.
