Belvidere, ILDorothy M. Thomas, 94, of Belvidere, IL died, Sunday afternoon, March 28, 2010 in Maple Crest Nursing Home after a lingering illness. Dorothy was born August 3, 1915 in Boone County the daughter of Ralph and Breta (Tripp) Peters. She graduated from Belvidere High School in 1933. She married Joseph Keenan on April 27, 1935 and following his death she married Furlin Thomas on July 9, 1949. Dorothy was a home maker and the head housekeeper for the Shady Lane Restaurant. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Widow's Club of Garden Prairie.Survivors include her godson, Charles (Cinda) Spotz of Belvidere; foster children, Lou (Marie) Blecha of Glenmont, OH and Kathy Long of Garden Prairie, several cousins.Dorothy is predeceased by her parents and both husbands.

Memorials can be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dorothy's name.
