Dorothy Joy Reuter, 75, of Belvidere, died Monday, September 3, 2012 in her home surrounded by her family. Born June 7, 1937 in Palatine, daughter of Joseph and Agnes (Weber) Godfrey. Married Kenneth Reuter on June 6, 1958 in Valley View, IL. Dorothy managed a resale shop called Everyone's Closet in S. Elgin. She was very active in Immanuel Lutheran Church and was involved in the Ladies Guild and Fellowship Board. She enjoyed scrapbooking, traveling, and fishing. She was active in bible studies with various groups over the years.Survivors include her loving husband Ken, children Ron (Rhonda) of Hampshire, Jesse (Debbie) of Hampshire, Kathy (Rick) Glefke of Dundee, and Jean (Bill) Samples of Belvidere; grandchildren Sarah (Billy), Becky (Mike), Scott, Clyde, Christopher, Tyler, and Kyle; great-grandchildren Wyatt, Cooper, William, and Landon; sister Lauralie (James) Pfortmiller of S. Elgin, and brother David Godfrey of Elgin. Predeceased by her parents and sister Barbara Humes.

Memorials may be given to the Immanuel Lutheran Reduction Fund or to North Eastern Illinois Hospice.
