Dorothy A. Popovich, 95, of Belvidere, went to be with the Lord on Thursday morning, August 25, 2016 at Maple Crest Care Center. Born November 17, 1920 in Cicero, IL, daughter of Thomas and Mary (Bardzik) Forys. She married John Popovich on August 19, 1939 in Cicero. Dorothy was a homemaker who loved her family. Dorothy was a faithful member of Saint James Church, Belvidere. She was very active in Parkside Manor in years past, and the Belvidere Moose Club. Dorothy enjoyed playing bingo in her spare time.

Dorothy is loved and missed by her sons, John (Susan) Popovich of Spooner, WI, and Richard (Barbara) Popovich of McHenry, IL; 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, John; 5 brothers, and 4 sisters, and grandson, David Popovich.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 29, 2016 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Deacon Jim Olson Officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until the time of service. Burial will be in McHenry Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL. Memorials may be directed to the family.
