Belvidere

Dorothy (Sue) Polcher, 65, of Belvidere died on Thursday July 12, 2018 at 4:05 a.m. in Swedish American Hospital.  She was born March 14, 1953 in Rockford, IL to Helen Davis. Married Hans Polcher  March 27, 1976 in Rockford, IL.

Dorothy started working at Northwoods Healthcare while in high school. She worked her way up the chain from laundry to CNA supervisor. Dorothy enjoyed country music, especially the newer genre; camping, spending time with grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her husband; daughter Tasha (Andy) Ferguson; son Peter (Amber) Polcher; grandchildren Taylor, Tyler, Aubry, Riley, Jackson; brothers James, Robert and Marvin; Sisters Connie and Peggy. She was preceded in death by her mother and numerous siblings.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday July 19, 2018 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008. A visitation will take place from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wedneday at the funeral home.  Inurnment will be at a later date in Belvidere Cemetery.
