Dorothy J. Mayberry, 85, of New Lenox formerly of Belvidere died Saturday January 14, 2006 at Salem Village Nursing Home. She was born August 1, 1920 in Belvidere to William M. and Grace M. (Klitz) Renne. She attended schools in and lived most of her life in Belvidere, moving to New Lenox in 1999. She married Gerald L. Mayberry on June 10, 1939 in Belvidere. She was employed as a machinist for Greenlee Tool Co. in Genoa until her retirement in 1985. She was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ, a member of Single Friends, and the Belvidere Moose Club. She enjoyed making greeting cards and ceramics.She is survived by daughters: Mary Lou Smith of New Lenox, IL., Connie L. (Clarence) Herrmann of Hampshire, IL., sons: Richard A. (Gloria) Mayberry, Kurt D. Mayberry both of Belvidere, 12 grandchildren: Mischelle A. Barman, Scott T. Smith, Jennifer N. Anderson, Richard A. Mayberry, Jr., Bradley L. Mayberry, Clarence Herrmann III, Terrence Herrmann, Connie Mootrey, Sherry Bentley, Patricia Conklin, Jim Uhlir, David Mayberry, several great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, daughter Joyce E. Schultz, brother George E. Renne, and son-in-law Tyler W. Smith.
