Dorothy Helen Anderson passed away at age 97 on February 22, 2024, in Belvidere, IL, after a brief illness.

She was born on November 6, 1926, in Chicago, Illinois, to Franklin and Bertha (Harris) Frazier.  She graduated from MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL, in 1948.

On September 29, 1956, she married Robert Anderson, the love of her life, with whom she shared three sons and 46 years of marriage until his passing in 2002.  They lived in Delafield, WI; Belvidere, IL; Rio Rancho, NM; then returned to Belvidere where they lived until their respective passing.  Dorothy was an avid reader who enjoyed travel, music, and hosting family gatherings, and whose hobbies included gardening, baking, crochet, needlepoint, crossword puzzles, and Scrabble.  She was a long time member of the First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere.

Dorothy is survived by her sons Clifford Anderson, David (Michaela) Anderson, and Christopher (Crystal) Anderson; her grandson, Brian (Nicole) Anderson; her nieces, Linda (Jim) Doane and Patricia Cowan; her nephews, Finley (Chris) Young and Fred Frazier, and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.  She always put her family first, and will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, and their respective spouses: brother, Donald (Doris) Frazier; sisters, Frances (John) Young and Margaret "Peggy" (Ken) Cowan; niece, Paula Cowan; and nephew, Robert Young.

Dorothy's memorial service will be, Saturday, March 23rd, 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Belvidere, 221 N Main St, Belvidere,
