Doris Ann (Hocking) Lindberg of Belvidere, Illinois passed away Sunday, August, 27th after a lengthy illness. She was a former resident of both Wakefield and Ramsay, Michigan. She was born July 11th, 1934 in Wakefield the daughter of William (Bill) and Lena Wanink Hocking. She married, Raymond L. Lindberg on March 14, 1959. Dorrie as she was known graduated from Wakefield High School in 1953 and from Practical Nursing School at Northern Michigan College in 1956. She was a nurse most of her life working at Divine Infant Hospital, Gogebic Medical Care as well as in Highland Belvidere Hospital.

She and Ray had four children, Raymond C. (Rusty), Rose, Brenda, and Bruce (Sue) Lindberg all currently residing in the Belvidere area. Further surviving are 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Spearo of Milwaukee and Sue of Wakefield; two brothers, Don of Wakefield and Roy (Barb) of Wauwatosa, Wisconsin; and sister-in-law, Karen Hocking. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and the following siblings, Norman, Eloise, Howard, John (Jack), James (Jim), Edward, Richard and Barbara Sordahl.

Doris' memorial visitation will be Monday, September 11, at 10am at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL. Memorial service to follow at 11am. A celebration of life will take place September, 17th 2023 in Garden Prairie, Illinois. She will have her ashes buried in Bruce Crossing at a later date.
