Doris Evelyn (Mordt) Henderson, 86 of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, March 29, 2015 in Maple Crest Care Center after a long illness.  Doris was born June 21, 1928 in Harvard, IL the daughter of Everett and Mary (Anderson) Mordt.  She married Samuel Styles Henderson on July 4, 1963 in Rockford. Doris was a parts supplier for Arnold Engineering.  She enjoyed traveling to Hawaii every year and wintering in Mesa, AZ.

Doris is loved and will be missed by her children,  Linda (Richard) Henderson of Belvidere, Leslie (Deb) Hahn of San Antonio, TX, Leonard (Kathy) Hahn of Rockford, Robert (Jennifer) Henderson of Rockford, Mark Henderson of Loves Park; grandchildren, Julie, Scott, Nathan, Melanie, Marissa, Teresa, Matt, Samantha, Courtney, Elizabeth; 11 great-grandchildren; sister, Jean Keast Lehr of Belvidere. Doris is preceded in death by her parents, husband Samuel, brothers, John Mordt and Lyle Mordt and son Perly L. Hahn.

The family acknowledges Maple Crest Care Center for the generous love and care given to Doris during her stay.

A memorial gathering will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, 2015 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W.
