Doris B. (Grandholm) Belonger, 83, of Garden Prairie, died Tuesday, March 8, 2011 in the Emergency Department of Swedish-American Belvidere. She was born December 31, 1927 in Muskegon Heights, Michigan, the daughter of Hiram and Pauline Grandholm. Doris was married to Orlin O. Belonger in Belvidere, Illinois on March 30, 1957. She is survived by two sons, Jeff Belonger, Garden Prairie; and Steve (Peggy) Belonger, Rockford; two granddaughters, Christiana and Nicole Belonger, both of Rockford; a sister, Eleanor (Joe) Moen, Beloit, Wisconsin.Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband on February 6, 1997, a sister, Margaret Nelson and a brother, Gerry Grandholm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her grandchildren's educational fund in her name.
