On July 20, 2021, Donna Jean Van Fleet of Belvidere, 84, finished her battle with an extended illness and entered into the arms of her heavenly father. She was born July 6, 1937 to Thomas and Anna 'Ann' (Everson) Eide in Readstown, WI. She spent her youth on the family's farm with her sisters and brother and met love of her life, Larry Van Fleet, in high school. Shortly after her graduation from Readstown High School, they married on September 3, 1955, at Franklin Lutheran Church in Folsom, WI. That same year, they moved to Belvidere, IL and were blessed with their only child, Kevin Van Fleet. Donna worked at Automatic Electric as an inspector for many years, and then she continued on to a successful career in real estate, receiving the "Top Producer" award multiple times. A devout Christian, Donna found solace at her church, First United Methodist Church in Belvidere. While she could always be found at Sunday morning service, she was surely found thereafter watching the Green Bay Packers. To know Donna was to love her. Unfailingly kind and always spreading sunshine with her 10,000 watt smile, she made friends in all walks of life. Though proud of her many life-long friendships, Donna's ultimate pride and joy was her family. Each year, they would take multiple trips to Wisconsin to visit both Larry and Donna's extended family. These are some of the most cherished memories for all. While she will be missed each and every day, we will take comfort in the joy she brought to every facet of our lives.

Donna is survived by her son, Kevin (Pamela) Van Fleet; granddaughters, Megan (Dave) Carlson, Abbey (Michael) Usmiller and Keri (Steve) Kuehne; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Marlene Ostrem, Ruth Ann (Nelson) Ward and Steven (Linda) Eide; sisters-in-law, Delores (Paul) Felton, Sharon (Roger) Clark and Dixie (Howard) Chambers; brother-in-law, Michael Whitfield; many loving nieces, nephews and friends. She is joined in heaven by her loving husband Larry; her parents; a sister, Sonja Whitfield; mother and father-in-law, Thelma and Lafe Van Fleet; brothers-in-law, Chester Ostrem, Dwight Van Fleet and Tell 'Junior' Hooverson; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Van Fleet and Avis Hooverson; niece, Lisa Dutton; and nephew, Eric Eide.

Memorial gathering for Donna will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m., Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Donna's memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday August 7, 2021 at the funeral home with Rev. Jim Bell officiating. Donna and Larry will be buried at Franklin Lutheran Church Cemetery in Folsom, WI.
