Donna H. Stanfle, 79 of Caledonia, IL and formerly of Davenport, IA was called home early Tuesday morning, January 30, 2007 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center, Rockford, IL after an extended illness. Donna was born October 10, 1927 in Sperry, Iowa the daughter of Clarence and Dona H. (Houston) Gulick. She married John D. Stanfle on January 25, 1945 in Davenport. Donna and John just celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary. Over the years she worked as a bank teller for various banking institutions until her retirement. In her spare time, Donna enjoyed bingo,ceramics and traveling, especially spending her winter months in Texas with her husband. She enjoyed the company of friends in the Hay bag Club; but most of all, she enjoyed being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.Survivors include her husband, John of Caledonia; daughters Carol Buffington of Caledonia and Karen Mitchell of Loves Park; grandson, Brian (Deena) Buffington; great grandchildren, Alexandra and Anthony; nieces and nephews. Donna is predeceased by her parents, infant daughter and son, Sheryl and Duane; sisters, Gladys Furnold, Ruby Mercer and brother, Alfred Gulick.

A memorial will be established in care of the family.
