Donna Jean Effler, 68, of Belvidere, IL passed away September 5, 2023. She was born on October 23, 1954 in Sterling, IL. The daughter of Dan and Joyce Enright. Donna was a deeply devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a long-time member of the First Baptist Church of Belvidere. Donna loved singing in church and praising the Lord. On February 25, 1978 she married the love of her life, James Effler, and together they shared 45 years of marriage. She worked for many years in mortgage banking. Her longest place of employment was at the Alpine Bank branch in Belvidere, but she also worked at Country Wide Home Loans and eventually retired from Stillman Bank in 2014. She loved long walks in the park and spending time in nature. Above all, Donna enjoyed the quality time spent with her grandchildren. She will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband, James Effler; son, Phil (Erin) Effler; step son, Mike Effler; grandchildren, Jake and Rayley Effler; siblings, Mark Enright and Carol Zintl. She is welcomed into heaven by her parents.

Donna's visitation will be Monday, September 11, 2023 between the hours of 6-8pm at Anderson Funeral & Cremation Services, located at 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL.
