IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Donna Louise
Bucz
April 14, 1961 – July 1, 2023
Donna Louise Bucz (aka "Dulio", or "Donna Beans"), 62, passed away on Saturday, July 1st, 2023 at her Kirkland home with many members of her loving family by her side, offering love, support, and endless cuddles.
Donna was born on April 14th, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Marilyn and Jacob Bucz. She had fond memories of growing up in a large but close-knit family. Donna has an older sister of whom she has joined in heaven, and has left behind 6 siblings, her mother and father, her daughter, 3 grandchildren, and her loving boyfriend. She touched so many lives of the people around her with love and support, and will be missed dearly.
As a frequent vacationer to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, Donna often partied with her favorite rock artist, Sammy Hagar, at the cantina where he held his birthday each year. At 8 o'clock on Saturday, July 1st, 2023, Donna's niece played the song "Eagles Fly" by Sammy Hagar and prayed to Donna's heavenly sister Debbie, asking her to tell Donna that it's okay to let go of her painful body and join her sister in heaven. At 8:05 when the song completed, Donna took her last breath while cuddled by her daughter and first grandson, with her 3 remaining sisters sleeping nearby. In one of Donna's favorite Sammy songs, the lyrics are "It's 8:05, it's time to rock!" There's no doubt that Donna is rockin' out in heaven.
Donna was a Managing Director of Search Enterprises South, Inc, an engineering recruitment firm that she poured her time and heart into for over 3 decades. The business was like a second child to Donna, and even in her last days she anxiously wanted to get to her desk to finish tasks that were on a time schedule. The business has become disoriented with the loss of Donna's business management and bookkeeping expertise, but we have no doubt it will be able to survive and continue growing as a result of her years of dedication to its success.
Public services for Donna will be held on Saturday, July 15th, 2023 at Anderson Funeral Home, 218 West Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL 61008. Family-only visitation will begin at 9 o'clock. Public visitation will begin at 10 o'clock, and a pastor-led memorial service will commence at 11 o'clock with live acoustic music of Donna's favorite songs in-between readings.
After the memorial service, we will gather for a celebration of life / catered luncheon at Donna's parent's house which is a 5 minute drive from the Funeral Home. If you would like to attend the luncheon, please RSVP to 630-267-0357 and we'll send you the address.
The family would like to express gratitude for the wonderful help and care provided by ProMedica hospice service, who went above and beyond to make her last days with us pain-free and peaceful.
After Donna had passed, her daughter, Cheryl, found a donation form for St. Jude Children's Hospital that Donna had saved in the inbox on her desk in anticipation of donating. Unfortunately, she ran out of time to do so. Therefore, we encourage anyone who would like to make a tribute donation in Donna's name, to please send your donations to: St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
