Donna Lee Blake, 90, of Belvidere, IL, went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2026. Born on July 29, 1935, to Alice (Russel) and Roy Fleming, Donna was a lifelong resident of Belvidere. She graduated from Belvidere High School and went on to work various jobs in manufacturing and retail, faithfully helping to provide for her family.

Donna was a woman of unwavering faith and member of First United Methodist Church. Her relationship with the Lord guided her every step. She trusted Him in all seasons of life and reflected His love through her kindness, patience, and gentle spirit.

On August 6, 1955, she married the love of her life, Darwin Blake. Together they shared 58 years of marriage and raised two sons, Ray and Tim. She was a deeply devoted wife and mother, and her family and faith were the center of her life.

Donna had a sweet and curious spirit. Even later in life, she would attend college courses simply for the joy of learning. She delighted in puzzles, quilting, baking, traveling, and keeping her hands busy creating something warm and beautiful.

She was strong and also gentle, generous and selfless, and also full of grace. Her life was a quiet testimony of faith, love, and steadfast devotion. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her.

She is survived by her son, Tim, daughter-in-law, Bonnie Blake; sisters-in-law, Darlene Johns and Donna Fleming, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends whom she loved dearly.

She is welcomed into heaven by her husband, Darwin Blake, 3 brothers, her oldest son, Ray, and a host of extended family members who passed before her.

Donna's memorial visitation will be Friday, March 6 at 10am at First United Methodist Church. Located at 610 Bonus Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008. Service to follow at 11am with burial at Belvidere Cemetery.
