Donald J. Shaw, 65, of Belvidere died April 11, 2022, at home. Born May 14, 1956, in Sycamore, son of Orson A. Jr. and Charlotte V. Shaw. Don was a Belvidere High School graduate, class of 1974, and a masterfully skilled machinist who left his mark on many businesses throughout his career. In his free time, Don loved to attend (and "host") concerts, travel to various locations to enjoy the outdoors with his family and friends, as well as trips to the range to hone his shooting skills. Don was an avid, captivating storyteller, and an admirably loyal person with a personality simply too big for words.

Don is survived by; his brother, David J. (Elma) Shaw; sister, Carole Shaw Kinney; along with several nephews, nieces, and cousins. He was loved, and will be missed dearly, by his stepdaughter Catherine (Travis) Hornbeck; Grandchildren Ulysses and Dahlia Hornbeck; stepson Mitchell Camp; and numerous lifelong friends.

Don is preceded in death by his parents.
