Donald G. Hepner, Jr. 37, of Belvidere, Illinois, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in O.S.F. St. Anthony Medical Center following a short illness. He was born on December 19, 1970 in Belvidere, the son of Donald G. and Joyce (Fodor) Hepner, Sr. He was employed by Wooden-It-Be-Nice Furniture Refinishing Co. He later was a loving caregiver to his father. Donald had a giving nature and in turn donated his organs to help others as one last act of love. He was a member of the V.F.W. John Hugo Kaiser Belvidere Post #1461. He enjoyed being with his friends, and the outdoors and spending time at his grandparents farm in Hillsboro, Wi. If it was physical or mechanical it was an interest to Donald. He was an avid Minnesota Vikings, Chicago White Sox and Ozzie Osborne fan. He is survived by his mother, Joyce, of Belvidere; two sisters, Tara (Joe) Polizzi, Elizabeth, Il.; Toma (Dan) Becker, Winnebago, Il.; two nieces, Dani (and husband, Jeremy) and Anna; three nephews, Josh, Dave and Andrew; his grandmother, Florence Fodor; three uncles, Fred (Linda) Hepner; Richard (Nancy) Fodor; Robert (Laurie) Fodor; three cousins, Jeff (Dawn) Hepner; Mike (Kelley) Fodor; Jean (Doug) Koffinke; "Sam" and Chris Larson whom he considered his "second" parents; a special friend, Cindy and many other special friends young and old. Preceded in death by his father, Paternal grandparents Crystal and Leonard Young and maternal grandfather, Ben Fodor.
