Donald B.
Fuchs
Mar 17, 1958 — Apr 9, 2009
Donald Brian Fuchs was welcomed to his heavenly home on April 9, 2009 surrounded by his family after a brief illness. Don was born to Thomas and Jean Fuchs of Belvidere on March 17, 1958. He graduated from Belvidere High School in 1976. He married Jennifer "Jody" Olcott of Marengo, Illinois on June 8, 1985. Together, they had three beautiful daughters, Maggie Jean Fuchs, Lisa Jane (Jacob) McDonald and Hannah Ruth Fuchs, all of Rockford. Don was a passionate potter; he worked for Beaver Creek Pottery, Haeger Pottery and fulfilled the dream of owning his own studio, Agape Pottery. He also possessed a passion for Jesus, which was fostered by active church life at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Rockford. He is survived by his wife and daughters, his mother Jean Fuchs, a brother, Kevin (Diane) Fuchs, of Greenville, Indiana and a sister, Cindy (Dan) Weber of Palatine, Illinois; along with several nieces and nephews whom he loved greatly as well as a great number of friends. His father, Thomas Fuchs, preceded him in death. The family would like to thank Rev. Ken Krause, the Mount Olive Congregation, and the multitude of friends who surrounded us during Don's illness.
Memorials may be made to Mount Olive Lutheran Church or the Donny Appleseed Memorial Fund to support the Arts. Arrangements by Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home 218 W. Hurlbut Av. Belvidere.
