Dixie Lee Howard, 56, of Caledonia, IL, died peacefully, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at Rockford Memorial Hospital after a lengthy illness. Dixie was born March 26, 1957, daughter of Donald and Rose Mary (Peters) Howard. She worked in the finance department at Rockford Memorial Hospital for two years. Dixie was a member of Poplar Grove United Methodist Church. She was also a member of the humane society. Dixie is survived by her father, Donald of Caledonia, special friends, Kim Gustafson and Chelsea Johnson.Dixie is preceded by her mother, Rose Mary.
