DianiaLee Swanson, 66, of Rockford passed away Thursday May 4, 2006 at home. She was born April 15, 1940 in DeKalb, Illinois the daughter of Ernest L. and Sophie A. Nelson. She graduated from Belvidere High School class of 1959. She married Gilbert L. Swanson on July 28, 1962 in Rockford, he predeceased her. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Belvidere. She loved reading and spending time with her family. She was a loving and considerate mom and grandma to all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She is survived by her mother Sophie A. Nelson of Belvidere, sons: Paul (Carrie) Swanson of Rockford, Mike (Tina) Swanson of Belvidere, grandchildren: Christina, Heather, Courtney, Shana, Michael, Logan, great-grandchildren: LaiKai and Maison, brothers: David Nelson of Belvidere, Arthur (Judy) Nelson of Snellville, Ga., sister: Althea Michael of Belvidere, and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by father Ernest L. Nelson, husband Gilbert L. Swanson, and infant son LarryDavid Swanson.
