Diane "Peg" Wirth, 78, of Belvidere, IL, died December 8, 2021, in Rockford, IL. She was born October 27, 1943, in Sisseton, South Dakota, daughter to John and Ramona (Arbach) Simon. Diane graduated high school. She married Larry Wirth, February 27, 1960, in Belvidere, IL. They were members of St. John's United Church of Christ in Belvidere and the American Legion in Belvidere. Diane worked in Shipping and Receiving as a clerk.She worked at Aubrey Manufacturing in Union, IL. Diane loved reading, baking cookies and was remembered for her potato salad, a family favorite. Diane loved her grandchildren dearly and will forever be missed.

She was loved by her husband, Larry Wirth; daughter, Lori (Bill) Perry; sister, Arlene (Cecil) Jones; grandchildren, Trevor (Michelle) Perry, Colin (Tori) Perry, Andrew (Jenny) Wirth, Brian Wirth; great-grandchildren, Hunter Wirth, Bo Wirth, Arya Wirth and Zane Wirth; and special niece, Renee Hanson; and special friend, Susan Gamlin.

Diane is preceded in death by her parents; mother and father in-law, John and Florence Wirth; son, Larry Wirth Jr., and brothers, Dean Simon and Jack Simon.

A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2021, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL with a memorial service at 1 p.m. Pastor Pam Rossmiller will officiate. Memorials can be made in her honor to the family to establish a memorial at a later date.
