Dennis E. Peaslee, 73, of Belvidere, Illinois went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2021 after a long battle with health complications. He was born November 5, 1947 in Belvidere, Illinois son of Wilbur and Lorraine (Langenbacher) Peaslee. He graduated from Belvidere High School. Dennis proudly served our country in the US Army. He was stationed in Germany during Vietnam. He married Judy C. Bye in 1971, but she preceded him in death in 2006. Dennis married Judith M. Pete in 2007, but she preceded him in death in 2008. He spent his working career with Poulter Implements for 24 years and Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. for 21 years. He was also proud to be a volunteer firefighter for Boone County Fire Protection District #2 for 20 years and a Trustee for 6 years. Dennis loved Corvettes, hunting and shooting guns. He also enjoyed gardening flowers at home and being able to help farmers in the fields when needed. Dennis was also passionate about traveling. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Flora Community Church.

Dennis is loved and missed by his daughter Dawn (Erik) Lutzow; granddaughter Madison Lutzow; sisters, Barbara (Robert) Rehnberg and Marilyn (Gary) Harleman; brother, James (Linda) Peaslee; companion, Darlene Carlson; and family, Tami Keefauver, Jerry Keefauver, Jory Keefauver and Zoey Keefauver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine; his father, Wilbur; his brother, Keith; two wives; and beloved dog, Jessie.

The funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Wes Hulstedt will officiate. Face masks and social distancing will be observed.A visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:45 p.m., prior to the service. Honors with Boone County Fire Protection District #2 at the funeral home.
