Belvidere, IllinoisDennis H. Andersen, age 80, of Belvidere, Illinois, died Monday morning, January 17, 2005 in his home after a sudden illness. Dennis was born in Grundy County, Iowa on January 2, 1925, the son of Hans and Elisa (Sorensen) Andersen. He married Benita Swanson on February 16, 1946 in Rockford, Illinois. Dennis devoted his life to farming. He was a member of Blaine United Methodist Church, Boone County Farm Bureau, Oak Glen Grange, Boone County Fair Board. Dennis enjoyed bowling, golf and card playing as well as traveling in his spare time. Survivors include his children, Dennis P. Andersen of Broadhead, WI, Diane (Eldon) Skodachek of Capron, IL, Pam (Jerry) Wade of Poplar Grove, IL; seven grandchildren, Tammy (John) Wakeley, Tanya (Randy) Shirel, Tim (Scarlet) Andersen, Troy Andersen, Scott Olson, Susan Skodachek, Corey Harnish; eight Great Grandchildren; brother, John (Sandra) Andersen of Genoa, IL; special friends, Dick (Laura) Wicarus and Jimmy Wicarus of Capron, IL and many nieces and nephews.Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Benita and sisters Marian, Evelyn and Elaine.
