Delphine Kiner, 91, of Belvidere, IL, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 5, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born June 16, 1926 in Sycamore, IL, daughter of Edgar and Mabel (Pierce) Baldwin. She graduated from Genoa High School in 1944 and from the University of Illinois in 1948. Delphine married Verl F. Kiner on May 21, 1949 in Genoa, IL. She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church, where she was involved in the Sunshine Circle and the United Methodist Women. Delphine was a member of the Boone County Farmerettes. Delphine loved fishing with Verl. She adored her family and was a dedicated Girl Scout Leader, and swim team mom. Most of all, Delphine loved spending time with her family, whether it was traveling to Scotland, Northern Wisconsin or North Carolina or going out to eat.

Delphine is loved and missed by her children, Susan (Joe Wampler) Kiner, Prudy (Robert) Taber, and Beth (Mike) Bruha; grandchildren, Steve (Amanda Perl) Wampler, Meg (Oscar) Guiterrez, Alex (Lissa) Ruano, Nick (Cassie Daer) Ruano, Kate (Jim) Fiebrandt and Scott Ryman; great-grandchildren, Darwin, Wesley, Rory, Charlotte, Audrey, Abigail, and Gretchen; and also two nieces and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Verl, and brother, John Baldwin.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, 610 Bonus Ave, Belvidere, IL 61008 with Rev. Monty Fox officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m., until 11:45 a.m., prior to service. Burial in Genoa Township Cemetery.
