Deloss J. Turnipseed age 78 of Belvidere, IL died early Friday morning, April 22, 2005 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a lingering illness. Deloss was born March 27, 1927 in Richland Center, Wisconsin the son of John and Kittie (Ray) Turnipseed. Deloss married Helen Swain on October 20, 1946 in Richland Center, WI. He retired from Arnold Engineering in 1972. Recently, Deloss worked for the McDonalds Restaruant on North State St. in Belvidere. Deloss enjoyed talking walks in the Belvidere Park, eating strawberry ice cream, trained and cared for standard bread-pacer race horses as well as being an avid Green Bay Packer and Wisconsin Badger fan. Deloss cherished the time spent at church attending Belvidere First Assembly of God.Survivors include his wife, Helen; children , Linda Peterson of Garden Prairie, Il, John (Lawanna) Turnipseed of Belvidere, IL; grandchildren, Angela (Charlie) Adams, Jason (Sara) Turnipseed, Wendy (Brad) Bartell, Dawn (Tim) Klein, Erik (Andrea) Peterson; great grandchildren, Jessica, Jordon, Rebecca, Taylor, Alex, Megan, Ryan, Taylor, Ethan, Emily, Sarah, Katherin, Steven, Adam; special nieces, Jackie Bailey and Julie Morris and many other nieces and nephews; adopted daughter Karen Woodard; sister, Bernadine Armstrog, Alamonte Springs, FL. Deloss is predeceased by his parents and sibling, Dick, Donald, Evelyn, Mary and Doris.
