Belvidere, ILDelores E. Leggett, 78, of Belvidere died Monday evening, July 13, 2009 in OSF St. Anthony Medical Center after a short illness. Delores was born December 10, 1930 the daughter of Paul and Esther (Deines) Wendlandt in Herington, KS. Delores married Mr. Donald E. Leggett on September 5, 1952 in Salina, KS. Over the years she worked for Automatic Electric and Belvedere Products. She also cared for her grandchildren whom she loved very much. Delores was a member of the John Hugo Kaiser Post 1461 VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing BINGO and visiting the "boat", cross stitch and working cross-word puzzles.She is loved and will be missed by her children, Michael (Wendie) Leggett of Belvidere, Cindy (Brian) Schabacker of Poplar Grove, Nancy (Bill) Loy of Rockford; grandchildren, Justin (Angela) Leggett, Joshua (Katie) Leggett, Amy Schabacker, Jodi (Wes) Long, Zachary (Jessica) Keast; great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Kaylan, Imagin, Wylin, Trevor and Austin; brother and sisters, Dorothy Hoover, Dennis (Karen) Wendlandt, Deanna Potter all of Kansas and numerous nieces and nephews.Delores is predeceased by her parents, husband and three brothers, Dallas, Dewain, and DeVern.
