Dejay D. Burt, 28, of Belvidere, IL passed away unexpectedly Monday night, February 2, 2021. Dejay was born November 3, 1992 in Downers Grove, IL the son of Darrin J. Burt and Mona D. Wade. A willful child, Dejay was lovingly raised by his dad. He married Katelyn A. Schultz on June 13, 2020 at an incredibly special place. Dejay enjoyed listening to music and loved to ride motorcycles with his dad. He had many wonderful traits and was an exceptionally talented artist. Dejay was excited for the birth of their fourth child, Dejay Dylan Burt, Jr; sadly little Dejay was still born on February 4, 2021 and will be buried with his dad.

Dejay is loved and will be missed by his wife, Katelyn; children, Aaliyah, Raiden and Greyson; his dad, Darrin J. Burt who raised Dejay; his mother, Mona D. Wade; brothers, Keith Burt, Jr. and Jason Conley; step-brothers, Jeffrey Collins, Jr. and Rowan Collins; aunts and uncles, Ed Burt, Lori Bremner, Keith Burt, Gene Burt and Mark Mustafa and cousins; one niece; and multiple nephews.  Dejay is preceded in death by his brother, Dustin Burt; grandparents, Edward and Ruth Burt and his aunt, Janice Mustafa.

The visitation for Dejay will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Avenue, Belvidere, IL. Face mask and social distancing will be observed. The funeral service for family and friends of Dejay will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 13, 2021 at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, with Rev. Rick Wagner officiating.
