Debra A. Stary, 63, of Belvidere, IL passed away peacefully, Saturday morning, December 27, 2014 in her home following a lingering illness.  Debra was born October 15, 1951 in Chicago, IL the daughter of George F. and Audrey V. (Schoppe) Kubalewski.  She married John E. Stary on October 17, 1970 in Schiller Park, IL.  She attended St. James Catholic Church. Over the years she worked as an office manager; but her true passion was her family.  Her family meant everything to her.

Debra is loved and will be missed by her husband, John of Belvidere; children, John Stary II (January) of Belvidere, Jennifer Moede (Chet) of Poplar Grove, IL; Matthew Stary (Kris) of Streamwood, IL; grandchildren, Olivia, Harley, John, Gracelynn; siblings, George Kubalewski, Jr. (Angela), Diane Tavolacci (Leo), Dorice Kozak (Scott Geraghty), Darcy Aagaard (Jeff); numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.  Debra is preceded in death by her parents.

Debra's family wishes to acknowledge the late Dr. Randall Robyn, Physicians, Nurses and Staff of OSF St. Anthony Medical Center; OSF Home Health Care and OSF Hospice; as well as DaVita Dialysis for the love and care given to her and our family.  We are ever grateful.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 in Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services at Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Chapel, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL 61008 with wake service at 8:00 p.m.  Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 2, 2015 in St. James Catholic Church, 535 Caswell Street, Belvidere, IL.  Burial will be in St. James Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donation to the American Kidney Fund, 11921 Rockville Pike, Suite 300, Rockville, MD 20852.  To light a candle or to share a memory, please visit www.AndersonFCS.com
