Dr. David M. Sachtleben, DDS, 102, of Clearwater Fl. Formerly of Marengo, Ill, passed away in his sleep on Sunday, October 12, 2008 in Alpine Fireside, Rockford, Il. He was born November 11, 1905 in Chicago, Illinois, the son of Albert Jacob and Marie Anna (Richardson) Sachtleben. He married Lottie Sabina Baranowski on September 19, 1929 in Valparaiso, In. She passed away on June 1, 1965. He then married Audrey Maybelle (McDonald) on July 2, 1966 in Marengo, Il. She died May 3, 2008. He practiced dentistry for 46 years in Chicago and Marengo, Il. before retiring to Florida. He was a life member of the American Dental Association; Illinois Dental Society and the McHenry County Dental Association. He was a Master of the Boy Builders Lodge, Chicago Lawn Chapter. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, reading mystery novels, farming, studying the stock market, woodworking and playing cards. David is survived by his four daughters, Carol L. Czarnecki, Lake Oswego, Or.; Marjorie J. Anderson, Rockford, Il.; Susan S. Howard, Pendleton, In.; Stacia N. (Lawrence) O'Neill, St. Joseph, Mi.; a stepdaughter, SueAnn Korsberg, Tampa, Fl.; his many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his two wives, he is preceded in death by his parents, beloved step-mother, Eva Laura Sachtleben; his daughter, Barbara M. and her husband Robert D. McCann, great-grandson, Paul McCann, two sisters, Helen Couch and Hazel Ruth Sachtleben, a brother Albert Sachtleben, two son-in-laws, Robert "Whitey" Howard and Gregory Korsberg.
