David M. Garman, 54, of Belvidere, IL died early Tuesday morning, December 26, 2006 in his home after a lingering illness. David was born February 25, 1952 in Belvidere, IL the son of Donald A. and Jean A. (Fellinger) Garman. David married Margaret B. "Peg" Morehead on November 12, 1977 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Belvidere, IL. David was a Lieutenant on the Glenview Fire department. He also owned Garman Alternators, a company that sells farm generators. David was a former member of the Marengo Rescue Squad and the Boone Co. Volunteer Ambulance Service. His father taught him how to fish on Long Lake and he enjoyed his family vacations fishing on Cass Lake and taking karate lessons with his sons. He was a wood worker and carpenter who enjoyed remodeling. David was a coach for the Belvidere Youth Baseball League. David will also be remembered for his imitation of Donald Duck.Survivors include his wife, Peg of Belvidere; his parents Donald and Jean Garman; sons Benjamin (Stephanie) Garman of Mustang, OK, Matthew Garman of Belvidere and Zachary( fiancé, Jennifer Brockman) Garman of Belvidere; brother, Gary M. (Janet) Garman of McFarland, WI and many nieces, nephews and cousins. David is predeceased by his grandparents.

In lieu of flowers a memorial will be established in his name in care of the family.
