David R. Fidder, 72, of Garden Prairie, died in his home on Tuesday, December 25, 2012 after a short illness. Born February 16, 1940 in Belvidere; son of Fred and Elsie (Bye) Fidder. Married Sandra West on July 7, 1958 in Belvidere. David enjoyed being a lifetime farmer. He was a member of the Belvidere Moose Lodge and Boone County Farm Bureau. He was a fox hunter, avid golfer, fisherman, and enjoyed playing cards. David and Sandy were snowbirds in Punta Gorda, FL every year.Survivors include his loving wife Sandy; son Terry of Belvidere; daughters Tammy (Dennis) Dovenmuehle of Garden Prairie and Tanya Hicks of Idaho; grandchildren Cory and Carrie Dovenmuelhe, Martina Hicks; great-grandson Sean Dovenmuelhe; sister Linda Kay McCoy; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents, twin sister Donna Lawhorn, brother Donald Fidder, and niece Sara Williams.
