David O. Duncan, 70, of Belvidere passed away peacefully, Monday, July 24, 2017 in his home after a sudden illness.  David was born February 7, 1947 in San Francisco, CA the son of Oliver L. and Betty Duncan.  David married Anita on October 18, 1969 in Belvidere.  David retired from Martin Automatic in 2015.  He was honorably discharged from the United States Air Force where he served in Libya as well as stateside. David made his spiritual home at St. John's United Church of Christ.  He enjoyed model railroading and in his younger years coached little league baseball and football.  He was a former member of the Jefferson J-Hawks Fan Association and a former member of the Cherry Valley Days Committee.

David is loved and will be missed by his children, Stacy (Bill) Cover, Jeffrey (Laura) Duncan, Gregory (Jen) Duncan; grandchildren, Shawn, Andrew, Jacob, Alexandra, Anyssa, Evan, MarySue, Emma.  He preceded in death by his parents and wife, Anita.

Private burial will be at Belvidere Cemetery.  Memorials can be given in care of St. John's United church of Christ, 401 Main Street, Belvidere, IL 61008.  Arrangements by Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W.
