David Lee Burnett, 60, of Belvidere, IL, died peacefully, April 18, 2023, at his home. He was born July 5, 1962, in Belvidere, son to Clarence and Carolyn (Storey) Burnett. He graduated from Belvidere High School and made a lifelong career as a trim carpenter and was member of the Carpenter's Union and was truly a master in his craft as well as a surprisingly wonderful cook.  David was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Belvidere. The outdoors were his passion, especially fishing, golfing and horseback riding. He was a major lover of music and of his brother's band.

David was loved and will be missed by his mother, Carolyn; siblings, Michael, Curtis, Charles and Cynthia as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence in 2012.

David's memorial visitation will be at 4 p.m. until the time of his memorial service at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 3, at Anderson Funeral and Cremation Services, 218 W. Hurlbut Ave., Belvidere, IL, 61008. Rev. Allan Buss will officiate.
