David "Bailey" Andrew Bailey, 58, of Belvidere, IL, passed away October 31, 2023. He was born on August 22, 1965. Bailey was a deeply devoted father, brother, uncle, and friend. Bailey graduated from Guilford High School, as a member of the state champion football team. He went on to work for many years in road construction at Rockford Blacktop (William Charles.) His daughter, Heather, was his pride and joy, and he cherished the time they spent together. They created a tradition of taking a yearly father and daughter trip to Vegas after taking Heather for her 21st birthday. He loved his granddogs, Rizzo and Harvey and visited them everyday. Heather and her dad frequently played cribbage to become the "All Time Champion" at dinner night. His favorite places included his favorite people - his family from Meads Longwood Meat Market, The Lucky Dog in Cherry Valley, and the SMSF Club. Bailey loved the "drinking sport" golf, and would frequent Newburg Village to "smack nine". He will be missed by many.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather (Trevor) Dolgach; mother, Catherine "Katy" Hall; sister, Tanya (Aaron) Vincer; brother, Brad Bailey; former wife and Heather's mother, Margaret Bailey and her sons, Chris (Nicole) Cox and Chad Cox; as well as nieces, Allison (Steve) Hess, Bailey Vincer; nephews, Matthew (Kendra) Renfro, and Trey and Ethan Vincer; extended family, and friends whom he loved dearly.

A celebration of life will be held at the SMSF Club 1010 Sandy Hollow Rd, Rockford, IL 61109 November 12th starting at 1pm. Cremation rites have been accorded.
